Hi, we’re Alex and Lea, your happy little farmers! After taking over our family farm, we set out with a passion to share the magic of farm life with our community. Our mission is to provide an authentic farm experience, showcasing both the beauty and the challenges of agriculture.

Join us for a private experience where you’ll dive deep into the world of farming. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Walk in Our Boots: Understand the daily routines and responsibilities that come with running a farm.

  • Meet Our Animals: Get up close and personal with our friendly farm animals. Walk with our sheep, feed and cuddle our rabbits, and socialize with our potbelly pigs.

  • Explore the Land: Enjoy a guided tour of our farm fields and back forest. Pick wild raspberries in July and maybe even spot some turkeys, deer, and other wildlife along the way.

  • Discover Our Equipment: See our tractor shed and farm equipment up close, learning about the tools we use to keep the farm running smoothly.

  • Tailored Experiences: We’re here to make your visit special. Tell us what you’re most interested in, and we’ll tailor the experience to match your preferences.

 

But that’s not all! We love chatting about the farm industry, share stories from our previous dairy farm, discuss our values, and explain how we raise our animals with care and respect for quality meat.

While we strive to make your visit to Happy Little Farmstead as enjoyable and safe as possible, it's important to be aware of certain risks associated with farm life and nature.

​

  • Waiver Requirement: All visitors must sign a waiver acknowledging these risks before participating in any activities.

  • Supervision of Minors: Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Animal Interactions: Although our animals are friendly, they can accidentally cause harm. They may bite, kick, step on, or push you, especially if they become upset or startled. Please approach them with caution and respect their space.

  • Follow Farm Rules: Always follow the farm rules and guidelines provided by our staff. This includes not feeding animals without permission, not entering restricted areas, and listening to instructions during activities.

  • Stay on Designated Paths: For your safety, please stay on designated paths and areas. Farm equipment and natural terrain can pose hazards if not navigated properly.

  • Proper Attire: Wear suitable clothing for a farm environment. Closed-toe shoes are required to protect your feet, and avoid baggy clothing like dresses that may get caught.

  • Be Aware of Allergies: If you have allergies to animals, plants, or insects, take necessary precautions and bring any required medications.​

 

By signing the waiver, you acknowledge and accept these risks, helping ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Booking Information

  • How to Book: Please book at least one week in advance using our online booking system. For bookings with less than one week's notice, please send us a message!

​

  • Availability: Private experiences are available on days when the farm is closed to the public to ensure an exclusive visit.

​

  • Pricing: The cost of a private experience varies. Please see below for details.

  • What to Bring: We recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and water. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Private Experience 1: "Little Farm Friends Adventure"
Time: 1h
Ages: 3+
Description: Perfect for our youngest visitors, this experience offers gentle and safe animal interactions tailored for kids ages 3 and up. Little ones can pet and feed bunnies, pet chickens, and enjoy an up-close encounter with our friendly farm animals in a calm and nurturing environment. This hands-on adventure is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for animals at an early age. A great way to introduce children to farm life in a fun and educational setting!

Fee: $20 per person plus tax. A non-refundable deposit of $20 plus tax is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

Private Experience 2: "Farmyard Companions"
Time: 1 hour
Ages: 14+
Description: Ideal for teens, and adults, this experience offers more in-depth animal interactions. Spend time inside the pen with our goats, sheep, and potbelly pigs, with a farmer by your side to guide you. You’ll have the chance to hold and cuddle bunnies and chickens, and even walk with a farm animal while learning about their care and behaviors. Please note, for safety reasons, our farmers will hold the animal leashes during walks, but you’ll have plenty of time to bond and interact with them. It’s a fantastic way to connect with a variety of animals in a relaxed and interactive setting.

Fee: $20 per person plus tax. A non-refundable deposit of $20 plus tax is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

Private Experience 3: "Full Farm Immersion" (Maximum 3 visitors)
Time: 2 hours
Ages: 14+
Description: Dive deep into farm life with this comprehensive experience! Along with personal animal interactions, you’ll get to explore the farm fields, learn about our crops, and see the machinery we use in our daily operations. This is your chance to truly understand what it takes to run a working farm, from the fields to the barnyard. You'll meet the animals, see where and how they live, and gain a deeper appreciation for the hard work that goes into farming. A perfect experience for anyone looking to get the full farm experience and learn about agriculture up close.

Please note: This experience has a maximum of 3 visitors as the side-by-side only has seating for 3 passengers!

Fee: $30 per person plus tax. A non-refundable deposit of $30 plus tax is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

Private Experience 4: "Evening Chores with Farmers Alex & Lea"
Time: 1 hour (Starts at 6 pm)
Ages: 14+
Description: Join Farmer Lea and Alex as they wrap up the day with evening chores. This hands-on experience gives you the opportunity to see what it’s like to work on a farm as the sun sets. Help feed the animals, walk the sheep and goats back to the barn, and close up the barn for the night. It’s a unique and authentic way to experience the daily responsibilities of farm life, perfect for those who want a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to care for our animals and keep the farm running smoothly. Ideal for families or individuals looking for a more hands-on farm experience in a peaceful, evening setting.

Fee: $20 per person plus tax. A non-refundable deposit of $20 plus tax is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival.
